Zinnia
Hey there, I’m a zinnia! I originated in the sunny regions of Mexico and Central America, where I was cherished by the Aztecs for my bright colors and even some medicinal uses. My name comes from a German botanist, Johann Gottfried Zinn, who discovered me in the early 19th century. I’m a travel-loving plant, and once my vibrant blooms were spotted, I spread across the world—especially to Europe, where I became a garden favorite! Today, I’m known for my resilience, colorful petals, and the cheerful energy I bring to any garden.
